Oldham Athletic were swept aside by Bradford City on Saturday at Valley Parade.
Goals from skipper James Vaughan, Clayton Donaldson, and Sean Scannell gave Bradford a convincing 3-0 victory and their first win of the season.
Following draws in their first two matches, the Bantams extended their unbeaten start to life in League Two and in the process heaped more misery on the Latics who have now lost their first three fixtures.
Oldham enjoyed the lions share of possession throughout the ninety minutes, but despite some neat play they lacked a cutting edge and limped to a comprehensive defeat.
Its a worrying time for Oldham supporters who remain primarily opposed to the controversial ownership of Abdallah Lemsagam. Fans have heavily criticised the club’s summer recruitment and the appointment of former Monaco boss Laurent Banide as their new head coach.
Banide was appointed in the summer after Manchester United and Oldham supporter Paul Scholes left the club after thirty-one turbulent days in charge. The popular Pete Wild repaced him on a caretaker basis but left at the end of last season citing personal reasons.
With widespread speculation that the owner is heavily involved in team affairs and that the club is teetering on the precipice of financial turmoil fans were furious with the latest setback on the pitch, with many calling for a change of ownership.
Here is a selection of responses to a disappointing defeat on Twitter.
Absolute disgrace

The club is rotten, fans divided and falling out amongst themselves, gutless 2nd half performance. Feeling very low, can I have the good old days of league 1 relegation battles back please?

The club owner reaping what he has sewn over the summer. Terrible recruitment and off the field issues are just adding to the misery. Change your ways or put the club up for sale.
