Peterborough United player Jamie Walker has used social media to lash out at manager Steve Evans after his side’s victory against Wimbledon.
The 25-year old is on loan at London Road, having moved from Hearts to Wigan in the summer. He’s played 14 times for Posh, but was left in the dugout for last nights fixture.
The winger hasn’t played since being taken off at half time as Posh drew 1-1 with lowly Bradford on November 17th, and was also left on the bench for the draw with Coventry last Friday night.
He used social media to air his views, posting a picture on Instagram with the message: “When he tells the kitman to get warm and your still sitting there.”
He followed it up with a second post claiming to be ‘getting good at this’, whilst teammate Jason Cummings replied ‘Happens to the best of us’. Cummings has also been benched in recent weeks by the Peterborough manager.
He last started a game on November 10th against Bromley in the FA Cup.
Our View
Evans won’t take kindly to that, not one bit. In his teams, he is the boss and any insolence of this type is usually dealt with swiftly.
It’ll be interesting to see how this develops and if Walker is soon back with his parent club, hoping for a January chance elsewhere.
