Birmingham moved to within a point of the play-off places last weekend with a 2-1 win over Watford at St Andrew’s. This means they are now 3 games unbeaten as they target back-to-back promotions.

Despite that, th Blues have been exceptionally poor on the road, winning just 2 of their 9 games away from home. The last of those came against Preston North End in October. Since then, they have lost to Bristol City and Middlesbrough, although they did pick up a point against local rivals West Bromwich Albion.

Looking at the stats, this is an easy prediction to make. No other team in the Championship has been involved in more games where both teams have scored than Southampton, with 78% of their outings achieving this feat.
