First Prediction For West Bromwich Albion vs Leicester City: Match Result – Draw – 9/4
Three points for either of these new managers would take their sides into the top two ahead of the weekends fixtures. Ryan Mason took the top job as West Bromwich Albion for the first time, after Tony Mowbray’s second spell came to an abrupt end in April. Ex-Queens Park Rangers gaffer Martí Cifuentes has been tasked with leading Leicester City straight back to the Premier League after their relegation last term. Separated by only a point in the Championship standings, these two have enjoyed impressive starts, though both are winless since the international break. While they will be desperate to return to winning ways, expect a stalemate in the Black Country on Friday evening.
Second Prediction For West Bromwich Albion vs Leicester City: Over 2.5 Goals – 1/1
Both these sides scoring have been hit in recent times, with the two drawing blanks in one of their encounters since returning from the international break. They are both mid-table for goals scored, with eight and seven in favour of the visitors. But at the other end, only the top two have conceded fewer than the Foxes, while Albion’s six against is just behind. Nevertheless, expect this encounter under the floodlights to produce plenty of goalmouth action.
Third Prediction For West Bromwich Albion vs Leicester City: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 3/4
This has been an incredibly common fixture since first being played at the start of the 20th century. In 118 meetings, West Brom lead the head-to-head record by eight wins, victorious in the last five and seven of the past eight encounters. In both games two years ago, the two sides were on the scoresheet, and that has also been true in six of the last seven fixtures at this level. With that in mind, expect both teams to get on the scoresheet later this week.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:
For the second week in succession, West Bromwich Albion open the matchweek with a Friday night encounter against a fellow promotion contender. But they will be hoping to fare better this time around in the West Midlands, after leaders Middlesbrough continued their impressive start with victory in the North East four days ago. There was a late consolation for Aune Heggebø, as the Norwegian opened his account for the Baggies. That made it successive defeats since the international break, after bogey side Derby County once again beat Albion on their own patch. Infact, before the loss against Boro last week, their last three defeats had all come against the Rams, with John Eustace’s side effectively ending their Play-Off aspirations last season before knocking them out the Carabao Cup in August. That loss against the East Midlanders should serve as a stern warning ahead of Friday’s game against another side from the same region.
But the defeat against the Rams in the League Cup was the only blot on their copybook in a storming start to the season last month. Highly-rated Northern Irish international Isaac Price was the matchwinner on the opening day against Blackburn Rovers, though Darnell Furlong was dismissed in second half stoppage time. But that didn’t prove costly, sending ex-Baggies boss Valérien Ismaël back to Lancashire in defeat. Albion spoiled another homecoming the following Saturday, beating Wrexham in their first Championship clash at The Racecourse for four decades. Price was at the double, while Jed Wallace grabbed another as they edged past the newly-promoted Red Dragons. A disappointing home stalemate followed against Portsmouth, with, you guessed it, Price involved once more. Mikey Johnston had provided two assists the weekend prior in North Wales, so it was his turn to get on the scoresheet with a fabulous finish from Price’s lay-off in a game where Ryan Mason was sent off. To end August, Nat Phillips grabbed the only goal at Stoke City to holt the Potters similarly impressive start to the campaign.
Meanwhile, Leicester City have recovered from their shaky start to the campaign to go four games unbeaten. Relegated as the best of the sides to go down, but still thirteen points from safety, expectations weren’t as high for the Foxes compared with their ex-Premier League compatriots. But, the side from the East Midlands have fared much better in their opening games than Ipswich Town and Southampton, with the pair tucked comfortably inside the bottom half of the table. Leicester are fourth, beginning the season with an uneasy victory over crisis-hit Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls led before Jannik Vestergaard levelled, and after the visitors were reduced to ten men, Wout Faes popped up with a late winner. But any early optimism was quickly extinguished with an exit from the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle against League One Huddersfield Town on penalties. And while Jeremy Monga made Championship history by becoming the competitions youngest ever scorer at Preston North End, a late Milutin Osmajic for the Lilywhites condemned Leicester to successive losses in all competitions.
But, the tide has since turned once more, following a narrow victory at Charlton Athletic. Abdul Fatawu finally scored as a permanent Foxes player, after over a year at the club. Like London buses, his next goal arrived the following Friday against Birmingham City, putting Martí Cifuentes outfit ahead against the side from the Second City. Ricardo Pereira finally wrapped the game up two minutes from time, with Monga providing the assist. Leicester returned from the international break at Oxford United and were held after Aaron Ramsey was sent off. The Foxes had to make do with ten men for 70 minutes at the Kassam Stadium, but Pereira bagged in successive appearances to steal a point. Last Saturday, in the M69 Derby, Leicester were once again frustrated after a top showing from Coventry City goalkeeper Carl Rushworth. In a goalless draw, the Sky Blues keeper ensured that they weren’t to be denied a share of the spoils by making several impressive stops to keep a clean sheet.
