Truro City defender Ryan Law has signed a new multi-year deal to remain with the National League side.
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the club’s most reliable performers since joining from Plymouth Argyle in 2023.
Law Extends Stay With The Tinners
Law has been a near ever-present since arriving at Truro, helping the club secure the National League South title last season. The left-back has already featured in seven of the opening eight matches of the current campaign, reinforcing his importance to George Roberts’ squad.
Having progressed through the youth ranks at Plymouth Argyle, Law made 18 League One appearances for the Pilgrims, scoring once in a 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in September 2022. His time at Home Park also included several loan spells to aid his development, with stints at Gloucester City, Chippenham Town, Torquay United, Gillingham and Yeovil Town.
After being released by Plymouth at the end of the 2022/23 season, Law returned to Truro on a permanent basis. He had previously enjoyed a productive loan spell with the club in 2019/20, playing a key role before the campaign was curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Key Figure For Truro
Since rejoining the White Tigers, Law has gone on to make more than 70 appearances, combining defensive stability with the ability to drive forward from left-back. His consistency was a cornerstone of Truro’s promotion-winning side, and his new deal ensures continuity as the club adjusts to life in the fifth tier.
Law’s experience across the EFL and National League pyramid is expected to be vital in maintaining Truro’s momentum. With the defender now tied down long term, supporters can look forward to seeing one of their most seasoned players continuing to play a leading role in Cornwall.
Writer’s View
This is a significant move for Truro City, underlining their intent to keep hold of proven performers as they adapt to the challenges of the National League. Law’s pedigree, developed at Plymouth and sharpened during multiple loan spells, provides both quality and leadership at the back.
Securing him on a long-term basis not only rewards his contribution to promotion but also signals stability in a period where the club is looking to establish itself higher up the pyramid.
