West Bromwich Albion Boss The Key To Loan Move

Toby Collyer believes West Bromwich Albion manager Ryan Mason is the man to get the best out of him after joining the Baggies on loan, as reported on the club’s official site.

The Manchester United midfielder heads to The Hawthorns on a season-long loan deal.

Collyer Keen For Loan Move

Tony Collyer is seen as a hot prospect at Old Trafford, having joined the club from Brighton & Hove Albion’s academy. The 21-year-old has been around the United first team for a while now and participated in 13 matches across all competitions last season.

That taste of senior action gave the midfielder an eagerness to go out on loan and gain more experience as he continues to learn his craft.

“The experiences I had in the senior side at Manchester United last season were really good and they’ve put me in a great position to come here now, having had a taste of the senior environment.”

“I’ve been really keen to get out on loan. I think it’s an important step and one that I needed. It’s important for me to try and play as much football as possible and to help the team as much as I can.”

“This is the right step and a great opportunity to take my game to the next level.”

Mason A Key Component To Deal

New West Brom boss Ryan Mason played a huge part in convincing Collyer that The Hawthorns was the place for him to continue his footballing education.

The former Brighton man had been away on United’s pre-season tour when he first became aware of interest and believes Mason is the right man for him.

“I first heard about Albion’s interest a couple of weeks ago. I was away on pre-season tour with Manchester United in Chicago, and I jumped on a call with the gaffer, Ryan Mason. I got a really good first impression, and it was one of the main factors for me joining.”

“We spoke about how I can help the team and how he can help me. This seems like the right place and the right environment for me.”

“I feel like he is someone who can get the best out of me, and I feel like I can help his team on the pitch.”

Writer’s View

This is a move that suits all parties. West Brom gets a player who has tasted action at the highest level and who is desperate for more games, Toby Collyer gets that game time, and Manchester United will receive an even better player back to Old Trafford in a year.
