Huddersfield Town look well-placed to sign full-back Danny Imray after Crystal Palace sanctioned his exit.
The 21-year-old has not been able to stake a place in The Eagles’ squad, with the FA Cup winners having the highly-rated Daniel Munoz in the position. He has spent the last season on loan with Bromley in League Two, helping The Ravens keep their EFL status during their first year in the fourth division.
New Move Expected
However, he will move away from Selhurst Park again this summer, with Alan Nixon confirming via his Patreon that Oliver Glasner’s side have allowed him to move, either on loan once more or in a permanent move. It is believed that it is Huddersfield Town that are leading the pack to sign the former Chelmsford Town players, as Lee Grant’s side look to spend heavy to secure promotion back into the Championship.
It is believed that talks have commenced between both parties, with a loan move being the first option for The Terriers. Palace have already conducted business with the League One side this summer, agreeing a deal for goalkeeper Owen Goodman to join on loan.
League One sides have been pursuing Imray’s services for over six months now, as it was believed Wycombe Wanderers had tried to coax him away from Bromley in January, also reported by Nixon. He provided two goals and seven assists across 34 appearances from Bromley in League Two last season.

Writers’ View
Huddersfield Town only have Neo Eccleston at right-back fully so a move for a new option in the position has been imperative for the club. After missing out on a brilliant option in Ethan Galbraith, who ended up at Swansea City, The Terriers have reassessed their options and it seems they have landed on Danny Imray. He had a standout first season in the EFL, winning Bromley’s Young Player of the Year and does look like he can make the step up to League One. The possibility of either a loan or permanent move does mean that Lee Grant could have two great first team options aged 21 or younger for years to come.
