Millwall have joined the race to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Filip Marschall, as new boss Alex Neil looks to strengthen between the sticks ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season, as reported by Football League World.
The 22-year-old stopper is attracting interest following a standout campaign on loan at Crewe Alexandra, where he played every league game, kept 16 clean sheets, and posted a save percentage of 70.4%—the seventh-best in League Two. With Lukas Jensen recovering from a long-term Achilles injury and Liam Roberts recently moving to Mansfield Town, the Lions are in urgent need of depth in goal.
Neil, who took the reins at The Den following a turbulent year for the South London club, is understood to view Marschall as a serious option. The youngster has Championship potential and could offer long-term value in a crucial position for Millwall’s reshaped squad.
Lions Face Competition for Promising Stopper
While Millwall are among the frontrunners, they are not alone. Preston North End and Norwich City are also believed to be exploring a deal for the former England U19 international.
