EFL Play-Off Schedule Confirmed

The EFL have confirmed the dates and times for the upcoming play-off semi finals for the Championship, League One and League Two.

The regular season came to a close yesterday, with 12 teams now preparing for one final shot at promotion. Sheffield United and Sunderland were already confirmed participants in the Championship, with Coventry City and Bristol City both securing the results to extend their campaign.

In League One, Stockport County, Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton Athletic were free of any end-of-season nerves. Leyton Orient’s emphatic 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town confirmed their spot.

League Two was arguably the most entertaining division for a neutral heading in to the climax Walsall and Notts County were still in with a shout of automatic promotion, whilst any two of five teams could still finish within the other top seven places.

Walsall have had to make do with the play-offs after Bradford City’s added time winner against Fleetwood Town saw them claim a spot in League One. Notts County suffered defeat against Doncaster Rovers to sixth, allowing AFC Wimbledon to move up to fifth. Chesterfield’s recent surge saw them claim seventh.
