With five wins in their last six, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them pick up the three points here.
For Sheffield United, this is a game they simply need to win. They started the month with three successive defeats before returning to winning ways against Cardiff City on Good Friday. With so much riding on the game, they will be forced to go for it, which is likely to suit Burnley. Scott Parker’s side are excellent at playing with their back to goal and picking their opponents off, just as they did in a 2-0 win at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day.

Burnley have been in excellent form as of late. They are currently on a staggering 30-game unbeaten run stretching back to November and have won eight of their last 10. Sheffield United’s automatic promotion hopes have fallen apart since the beginning of this month. They topped the table at the end of March following an excellent 3-1 win over Coventry, but followed that with three successive defeats against Oxford United, Millwall and Plymouth Argyle. Chris Wilder would have been thrilled to bounce back against Cardiff City in their last fixture, where they won 2-0 at Bramall Lane. Their recent drop off means they are now five points behind the top two and they will be forced to settle for a play-off place if they lose at Turf Moor.
Burnley put in a professional performance to secure a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day, extending their winning run over the Blades to four games. Led by Vincent Kompany, the Clarets recorded two big wins over United in the Premier League last season, winning 5-0 at Turf Moor and 4-1 at Bramall Lane.
