Leeds United Make Jack Harrison Decision

Leeds United are prepared to reintegrate winger Jack Harrison back into their squad if they secure promotion back to the Premier League, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.

The 28-year-old is currently on his second season-long loan at Premier League outfit Everton. He initially made the move to Goodison Park following Leeds’ relegation from the top tier in 2023, just months after penning a new five-year deal at Elland Road.

Although Harrison has been a regular fixture in David Moyes’ starting lineup as of late, he has had to shift from his regular position on the right wing to the left to accommodate the in-form Jesper Lindstrom. This has led to speculation that the Toffees are prepared to cut ties with the former England under-21 international, with his current temporary deal not including any option to buy.

Harrison Set For Premier League Reprieve?

The attacker was a regular fixture for the Whites during their previous stint in the Premier League. After enjoying several loan spells in Yorkshire and helping the club earn promotion from the Championship, he eventually joined on a permanent deal in 2021.

Having contributed 34 goals and 32 assists across 206 appearances for the club thus far, he could be given the chance to add to that taly next season. Leeds sit three points clear at the top of the table and eight points above third-placed Burnley and are expected to finish the job in the remaining months of the campaign.

According to Graeme Bailey, this could see him reintegrated into Daniel Farke’s squad in the summer. Speaking to Leeds United Newshe said:

“Leeds at this moment believe he is more likely to return than not, he has not done badly but with change of manager and hierarchy, it seems they will go in another direction.

“Leeds are prepared for this and there will be no issues with seeing Harrison return in the Premier League – he is a Premier League player and his experience could be invaluable to Leeds next season.”

Writer’s View

Jack Harrison is a player who is more than capable of plying his trade in the Premier League. Despite some bridges being burned, these could be mended if he pulls on the white shirt and puts in similar performances to those he put in at Elland Road before joining Everton. Furthermore, it could be a huge boost for the club to bring back a player with bags of experience at the highest level. This could be like a new signing if handled correctly.
