Bolton Wanderers are hoping for positive news after striker Victor Adeboyejo was forced off late in their 2-1 win against Leyton Orient.
The 27-year-old will undergo scans to assess the extent of a knee injury sustained during Saturday’s comeback victory.
Concern Over Adeboyejo’s Fitness
Head coach Steven Schumacher confirmed that Adeboyejo initially played on despite the injury, even contributing defensively before finally making way for Klaidi Lolos.
“Touch-wood it isn’t serious, but credit to him for staying on for probably 10 minutes afterwards and doing that defensive role. He jarred his knee and it didn’t look too good from where I was standing, but we will get him scanned and hopefully it won’t be a bad one. If it is, we’ll have to deal with it.”

Comeback Victory for Bolton
Despite trailing 1-0 at half-time, Bolton battled back to secure three crucial points, drawing level with Leyton Orient and Charlton in the race for a top-six finish. John McAtee netted the equaliser before Aaron Morley converted from the penalty spot to seal the win.
Schumacher praised his side’s resilience, particularly in defence.
“When we needed to defend, we did it well. Especially in the last 10 minutes, there were bodies on the line, we got a couple of blocks in our box. I remember Will Forrester putting in a really good challenge.”
McAtee’s Impact
McAtee continued his strong form with his 10th goal of the season, further cementing his importance to the squad.
“He took his goal well. He is a player who has had what’s required explained to him and there’s no doubt he’s got the talent. He looks like he’s playing with a smile on his face, he’s in good shape, and he’s fit.”
Looking Ahead
Bolton now turn their attention to a tough away fixture against Wrexham, with Schumacher stressing the importance of maintaining focus and squad depth as the season progresses.
“It’s going to take the whole squad and it’s going to be a long slog until the end of the season. It isn’t going to be easy, but we’ll be ready, we’ll recover, and we’ll get ready for it.”

Bolton’s win over Leyton Orient showcased their resilience and growing consistency. Adeboyejo’s injury will be a concern, but the squad’s depth and recent form provide hope as they continue their push for the play-offs. With crucial fixtures ahead, maintaining momentum will be key.
