Reading could lose yet another star player in the final days of the window as Nottingham Forest lineup a move for Tyler Bindon.
The New Zealand international played for The Ferns during the Olympics last year and has become a regular in The Royals’ lineup since emerging last year after being signed from Major League Soccer side LAFC.
Forest Target Defender
According to The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, Premier League side Nottingham Forest have identified Bindon as a target on deadline day. It is reported that both clubs are in talks over a ‘substantive deal’, which would see the 20-year-old remain in Berkshire on loan,
This move comes as the club were insistent that no key players would be sold, however, the latter days of the window saw the sale of striker Sam Smith to league rivals Wrexham for a figure of £2 million. It was a move which ‘hurt and upset’ Noel Hunt, however, a move has been sanctioned to sign a replacement before the window shuts tonight.
One name that could come into the club is Billy Bodin, with the Burton Albion winger potentially arriving at the club on loan.

With his contract set to expire and the club in a very tricky financial position, Reading probably have to allow this move to go through. He has been a brilliant servant in these turbulent times for The Royals and has deserved a move upwards from his performances. Nottingham Forest are a very ambitious club and whilst the standout performances of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic means Bindon will not see any first-team action should he move to The City Ground, he will likely get a good loan move next season. Reading will be able to plan over the next six months to find a replacement whilst still benefitting from his services across the rest of this campaign.
