Our Three Predictions For Swindon Town v Crewe Alexandra

  • Prediction 1 – Crewe Alexandra To Win – 141/100
  • Prediction 2 – Match To Be A Draw – 43/20
  • Prediction 3 – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 69/100

First Prediction For Swindon Town v Crewe Alexandra – Crewe Alexandra To Win – 141/100

Crewe Alexandra’s steady form has seen them not only stay in contention for automatic promotion, but have then sat in one of those coveted places. Their away form is the eighth best in the division and have only lost three times in their 12 games on the road. Riding a three game unbeaten run they will need to be at their best and avoid complacency against a Swindon side that has won their last three home games as they try and move away from the ill fated bottom two places.

Second Prediction For Swindon Town v Crewe Alexandra – Match To Be A Draw – 43/20

Having gained some traction in their fight against the drop out of the Football League, Swindon have picked up some very credible results. The change of manager has sparked the team and they now come up against another promotion hopeful after a 2-0 loss at Notts County. The Robins home form is good and that could help them as they look for only their third draw at the County Ground this season. Crewe have drawn five times on the road, more than they have won, and they concede less than a goal a game when away. they are tough to break down, and they will see a draw as a decent return if they cannot get another valuable win.

Third Prediction For Swindon Town v Crewe Alexandra – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 69/100

Both teams are not goal shy so far this season, The Railwaymen just edging ahead of their hosts for this game 33-31 overall. Swindon are a dead level 18-18 at home, so this would suggest that goals should be on the agenda in this game. Crewe have managed 13 of their overall tally when on the road, so not as free scoring but still a goal a game. Swindon have scored three in each of their last three home games, but have also conceded four.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head

Ian Holloway has breathed new life into Swindon Town’s season. The charismatic manager would have been confident that his new team had the ability to start to move away from the relegation fight, and even though that job is far from done, the signs are there that they do indeed have enough about them to do that and move into safety. The goals have started to fly in less frequently at the back, and that is the first thing the new gaffer would have addressed. Will Wright has not only been ever present so far at the back but also chipped in with three goals and two assists. Around him the pieces seem to change and there will be concern over young goalkeeper Daniel Barden who went off last week with a facial injury.

For Lee Bell it will be more of the same he hopes as his Crewe side have once again put themselves in a position where they can really kick on. Their last two wins have been very comfortable against Carlisle United and Bromley, and this after a hard fought draw at Milton Keynes. Now in second place this game will be viewed as one they should get more points from. Omar Bogle’s brace set them them on the way to a 4-1 win against Bromley taking him to five for the season, but it is still Jack Lankester that remains the big threat up front with seven goals and six assists in just 12 starts, and coming off the bench another half a dozen times.
