Bromley get a dream FA Cup tie as they make the journey to the iconic St. James Park and face six-time winners Newcastle United.
Our Three Predictions For Newcastle United vs Bromley
- Prediction 1 – Both Teams To Score – 21/20
- Prediction 2 – Miguel Almiron To Score – 8/5
- Prediction 3 – Newcastle United To Win – 1/8
First Prediction For Newcastle United vs Bromley – Both Teams To Score – 21/20
Newcastle should breeze through this game but as we see with many FA Cup clashes, shocks can be brought about. Examples such as Shrewsbury Town leading Liverpool at Anfield and Chelsea’s home humiliation against Bradford City, and of course when Cambridge United won at St James’ Park three years ago. Teams have taken their feet off the gas before and if Newcastle get a sizeable lead in this, it could lead to complacency and open the door for one of Bromley’s players to get a memory to last a lifetime.
Second Prediction For Newcastle United vs Bromley – Miguel Almiron To Score – 8/5
This game will open up to allow Eddie Howe to rest players ahead of their midweek game against Wolves and a fair few starters will be rested. It allows a player such as Miguel Almiron to get some minutes in place of the in-form Jacob Murphy. Should the Paraguayan rekindle some of his previous form, such as in his debut FA Cup season where he scored four times in six games, he will be one of the goalscorers on the Tyne.
Third Prediction For Newcastle United vs Bromley – Newcastle United To Win – 1/8
It is a game which could be the cupset of all cupsets considering the form Newcastle are in and it being Bromley’s first-ever time reaching the third round proper in this competition. Andy Woodman’s side will get a career highlight from this game but considering how United are playing as of late all signs point to a comfortable win for The Toon Army. There should be no surprises here but as we all know, anything can happen in the FA Cup.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head
Newcastle come into this game as one of the most in-form teams in English football, with only four other teams winning their last five in a row. They have not lost since the start of December against Brentford, which was only one of two losses since the start of November. They have kept four clean sheets in their last six games, and put themselves with one foot in the EFL Cup final after a 2-0 win away at Arsenal in their most recent game. As for FA Cup matches, they reached the Quarter-finals last season, falling to eventual finalists Manchester City. However, they failed to advance past the third round in the three seasons prior to that, losing to Cambridge, Sheffield Wednesday and Arsenal.
Bromley have been in a good spell of form prior to this game, but will be reeling from their disappointing 4-1 loss to Crewe Alexandra in their most recent game. They have been free-scoring in their last five, dispatching five past Newport County, three past Gillingham and two past Morecambe. After being knocked out by local rivals AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Cup’s first round, this game is their first ever chance to play Premier League competition in their club’s history.
This will be the first ever match up between Newcastle United and Bromley.
