Struggles at Blackpool
Embleton rejoined Blackpool in August 2024 under then-manager Neil Critchley, having previously enjoyed a successful loan spell in 2021 that culminated in the club’s promotion to the Championship. However, a managerial change saw Steve Bruce replace Critchley, and Embleton found himself on the fringes of the squad as Bruce’s system failed to suit his attacking midfield style.
A lack of consistent match action became evident, with Embleton struggling to establish himself as a starter. Throughout December, he was omitted from matchday squads multiple times and has not featured since Blackpool’s EFL Trophy defeat to Aston Villa U21s. In total, he managed one goal and three assists during his second stint with the club.
