Our Three Predictions For Notts County v Bradford City

  • Prediction 1 – Notts County To Win – 29/25
  • Prediction 2 – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 51/100
  • Prediction 3 – Bradford City To Win – 93/50

First Prediction For Notts County v Bradford City – Notts County To Win – 29/25

Notts County will have to work hard for a win here but they do have a decent record at Meadow Lane so far having won four of their eight games so far and only suffering two losses. Also they have one of the meanest home defences in League Two with only five goals conceded. They have not picked up a home win in the league since late October but have won in Cup competitions and have not lost sine earlier that  month, a 1-0 reverse to Port Vale. Bradford City are the virtual opposite of this having only won twice from 11 games on their travels and have not won in four away games.

Second Prediction For Notts County v Bradford City – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 51/100

County will want to shrug off their last game, a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Salford City, and get back to winning ways. To do this they will have to recapture some of their early season consistency in front of goal. Their five goal blitz in the FA Cup at the start of November a distant memory in terms of home goals, was backed up by two away games with a combined goal tally even though they lost both of those games. City’s poor away form is mirrored by the amount of goals scored on the road, only 11 in 10, and more recently they have only scored twice in three away league games. This though is a game where both will be going all out for a win, so expect the net to bulge at both ends of the pitch.

Third Prediction For Notts County v Bradford City – Bradford City To Win – 93/50

It is the need to win that could just put Bradford back in the win column come 5pm. They, arguably, need the win more than their hosts, and will eye this as the perfect opportunity to spring a small surprise result. A team that has not won away in the league sine October 12, a 2-0 win at Tranmere Rovers, this will be the ideal time to notch only their third road win. County do have the home record to thwart City’s ambitions in this clash, but their last home performance was a lacklustre goalless draw against Newport County, so any continuation of a drop on form will be pounced upon.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head

At 37, David McGoldrick is still firing in the goals, and showing no real signs of letting up. His seven so far has him level with fellow striker Alassana Jatta, a man 12 years his junior. This will keep manager Stuart Maynard happy but it is his leaky defence that is of more concern and the Magpies need to shore up quickly if they are to avoid a continued slide to mid table obscurity. Defensive duo Matty Platt and Jacob Bedeau have been mainstays at the back in front of Alex Bass in goal, but County have let in 10 goals in their last three outings and that is not going to help their cause.

Graham Alexander is having a tricky time trying to get his team performing on a consistent level, A single goal separated his men from lowly Swindon Town last week, and even though it was a win it was far from convincing. That was a second win on the bounce though, something they have not achieved since mid-October, but in between that time their results have been peppered with draws and defeats. Just like McGoldrick at County, Andy Cook is still proving his worth. The 34-year-old frontman has hit 10 goals, but no other player has gone past two and that will be a concern as should Cook hit a barren spell someone will need to step up. Maybe that will be youngster Bobby Pointon, who is making his way as a regular in the lineup.
