Former Birmingham City and Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has become the new frontrunner for the vacant Bristol Rovers manager position.
The Gas parted ways with Matt Taylor on Monday following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City, and the search for his successor has already taken shape.

Karanka, who previously managed in the Championship with Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, and Birmingham City, has emerged as a serious candidate. The Spaniard notably took Middlesbrough to promotion in 2016 during his four-year tenure at the Riverside Stadium.
