Sheffield United Boss Reveals ‘Delight’ Ahead Of West Brom Encounter

Sheffield United are poised to receive a major injury boost ahead of their upcoming trip to West Bromwich Albion this weekend, with manager Chris Wilder “delighted” by the returns of Rhian Brewster and Kieffer Moore.

The Blades have struggled with a shortage of attacking options in recent weeks, but the return of these two forwards will significantly strengthen their squad as they head into crucial matches.

Forward Reinforcements Arriving

Brewster, who has been sidelined since Sheffield United’s 2-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers over a month ago, is set to be involved in Sunday’s match against West Brom. Additionally, Moore, who has been recovering from a calf injury, is expected to return to the squad soon. Although Moore’s involvement in Sunday’s clash is still uncertain, Wilder assured that he will definitely feature in the match against Millwall on Wednesday.

“Rhian will be involved on Sunday, which I’m delighted about. Kieffer, we’re waiting on but he’ll definitely be involved on Wednesday night.” – Chris Wilder.

The return of Brewster and Moore will provide much-needed depth in the attacking department, which has seen 18-year-old Ryan One step up as a backup to Tyrese Campbell in recent weeks. With these reinforcements, Wilder will have more options at his disposal as Sheffield United aim to maintain their push at the top of the Championship.

No New Injury Concerns After Sunderland Win

Wilder also reported no new injury concerns following last Friday’s dramatic win over Sunderland, which saw Sheffield United return to the top of the Championship after a tough three-game week. Despite being reduced to 10 men twice during the week, including playing more than an hour a man down against Coventry, Wilder was pleased with the team’s resilience and determination.

He praised the players’ attitude, particularly in the last 20-25 minutes of the Sunderland game, stating:

“The physical output they put into the game was amazing… they weren’t afraid of losing and the effort they put in was rewarded with what I think was a deserved win in a tight game.”

Writer’s View

Chris Wilder’s delight at the return of Brewster and Moore is understandable, given the significant impact they could have on Sheffield United’s attack. With their injury woes starting to ease, the Blades look poised for a strong finish to the season. If the team can continue to perform with the same resilience they showed against Sunderland, the squad will be in a strong position to challenge for promotion.
