Our 3 Predictions For Barrow v MK Dons:

  • 1st Prediction For Barrow v MK Dons: Match Result – MK Dons – 13/8
  • 2nd Prediction For Barrow v MK Dons: Under 2.5 Goals – 7/10

1st Prediction For Barrow v MK Dons: Match Result – MK Dons – 13/8

MK Dons are on an incredible run of six consecutive league wins and find themselves on the edge of the automatic promotion spots. Their hosts have not won in eight League Two outings and have plummeted to 13th in the standings.

2nd Prediction For Barrow v MK Dons: Under 2.5 Goals – 7/10

Barrow have been hard to break down on home soil and have only conceded eight goals in nine matches, a record only bettered by three sides in the division. MK Dons head north scoring an average of 1.76 goals per game this season so a goal fest in Cumbria is unlikely.

3rd Prediction For Barrow v MK Dons: Both Teams To Score – No – 10/11

Barrow have found goals hard to come by of late, scoring just five times in their last six fourth tier matches. Their visitors go into the game on the back of an overdue clean sheet against Chesterfield and manager Scott Lindsey will be looking for more as his side look to force their way into the top three.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Scott Lindsey’s MK Dons go into this fixture in terrific form and are in search of a seventh straight league victory. Their opponents, however, are strong at home and have only lost twice on their own ground this season. Former Crawley Town boss Lindsey took over an MK Dons side that were performing well below expectations under previous boss Mike Williamson. His appointment is looking an astute one as he has taken his side right to the cusp of the automatic promotion spots as he looks to secure his second consecutive elevation to League One.

Barrow won five of their first seven league games, including a highly impressive 4-0 win over league leaders Port Vale but have since claimed just one victory in 11 matches and find themselves in mid table on 23 points. Barrow’s games don’t contain many goals, with more than two in a match happening only once in their last eight as Stephen Clemence’s side have lost by the odd goal on three occasions and have drawn four games 1-1.

Last season’s matches between the two sides saw Barrow emerge undefeated and with four points to their name. The first encounter at Stadium MK was a dramatic affair that saw Barrow come from two down to snatch a point. Current Gent midfielder Max Dean had fired MK Dons into a two goal lead before the break and his brace looked to have been enough to secure all three. The visitors had other ideas and came away with a point thanks to two goals in second half injury time. Ben Whitfield scored what looked likely to only be a consolation goal in the 93rd minute before Emile Acquah struck five minutes into added time to salvage a point.

The reverse fixture in Cumbria saw the home side take all three points thanks in no small part to a man of the match performance from goalkeeper Paul Farman. The winning goal came in the 78th minute and was scored by on loan striker Cole Stockton. The current Salford City frontman struck a right footed effort high into the net from outside of the box to hand Pete Wild’s side all three points.
