Both sides played midweek, McCann’s side winning their Wednesday clash against Fleetwood Town, 4-2 away from home in abhorrent conditions. The visitors, played Tuesday, where honours remained even at full-time in a 1-1 draw against league-leaders Port Vale. Cheltenham were close to pinching all three points, however, as Vale scored the equaliser in additional time.
