Our 3 Predictions For Norwich City v Luton Town:

  • 1st Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Match Result: Norwich City Win – 23/20
  • 2nd Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Over 2.5 Goals – 4/5
  • 3rd Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Borja Sainz To Score – 169/100

1st Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Match Result – Norwich City Win – 23/20

Norwich City come into this game in tenth, but the Canaries have a lot going for them. They’ve been on a tough run of late, with one win eight, but their record against struggling teams is good. They put six past hapless Plymouth this week, and their last win before that was a 4-0 thumping of another struggler, Hull City. Luton, 16th in the table, were expected to be promotion contenders, but they’ve been awful away from home, losing 3-0 to Leeds United this week and going down 5-1 at Middlesgrough in early November. They’ve only won away once all season, and even lost to Plymouth, telling you everything you need to know about their away form.

2nd Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Over 2.5 Goals – 4/5

When Luton lose away, there are goals – 5-1 against Boro, 3-2 against Coventry, 3-0 against Leeds United and even 3-1 against Plymouth. When Norwich play struggling sides, there are goals – 6-1 against Plymouth, 4-0 against Hull City, and even when they’re not winning, they have a good record. 3-3 against Boro, 2-2 with Preston, 3-2 against Derby, 4-1 against Watford. You can guarantee goals when these sides play, and Norwich can be lethal going forward, but vulnerable at the back, and Luton are leakier that Portsmouth’s training ground. There will be goals, count on it. We’d almost be tempted to back him to score more, as he is likely to have a field day against the Luton defence.

3rd Prediction For Norwich City v Luton Town: Borja Sainz To Score – 169/100

With 15 goals in 19 outings this season, Borja Sainz is a solid pick on any EFL Fantasy Football team, and he’s just rediscovered his scoring touch. Ahead of his hattrick against Plymouth, he’d gone three games without a goal – his most barren spell of the season. The Spaniard only bagged eight in 39 last season, but he’s on fire in 24/25, and he’s a great bet for an anytime scorer.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Neither of these sides will go into this game happy with their position or form. Norwich City have been on a tough run, stopped by that big win against Plymouth, but fans are yet to be convinced that Johannes Hoff Thorup is the man to take them forward. He’s not in danger yet, unlike Rob Edwards at Luton. He was seemingly on borrowed time after the Middlesbrough mauling, and only a victory against an awful Hull side earned him a stay of execution.

While there’s trouble for both managers, there are similarities in their records against each other – both have won 30 of their 79 games over the years. Bragging rights belong to Luton; they won 2-1 at Kenilworth Road in their last meeting back in December 2022, and won at Carrow Road two months before. Interestingly, there was a red card in both of those games. Norwich’s last win against the Hatters came in March 2021, when Temmu Pukki bagged a brace in a 3-0 win.
