Our 3 Predictions For Coventry City v Sheffield United

  • 1st Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 7/10
  • 2nd Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Match Result – Draw – 85/40
  • 3rd Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Tyrese Campbell To Score Anytime – 13/5

1st Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 7/10

Sheffield United are mean defensively but Coventry know where the net is, having scored 10 goals in their last five games. While being able to score themselves, the Sky Blues have found it far harder to keep the opposition out, conceding 21 times so far this season. The Blades have scored seven in their last five and possess the in form Tyrese Campbell.

2nd Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Match Result – Draw – 85/40

They may be without a manager but Coventry are resilient and have won two of their last three matches in the Championship. The Sky Blues demonstrated their fighting spirit in their come-from-behind draw at Sunderland before the international break. League leaders Sunderland had taken a 2-0 lead before Coventry fought back. It will undoubtedly be a tough test against promotion chasing United but the hosts have the added incentive of impressing the incoming manager, whoever that may be.

3rd Prediction For Coventry City v Sheffield United: Tyrese Campbell To Score Anytime

The Blades are in form as is Tyrese Campbell. The former Stoke City striker is beginning to find his feet at Bramall Lane and has scored three in his last four, including the vital winner against Steel City rivals Sheffield Wednesday. With a supply line that include Callum O’Hare and Gustavo Hamer, Campbell will have plenty of opportunities to add to his tally.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Coventry City are preparing for this match without a permanent boss, with Rhys Carr in temporary charge after the surprising dismissal of long-serving Mark Robins. Before being relieved of his duties, Robins had guided City to two wins from three Championship fixtures after a disappointing start to the campaign. Coventry find themselves in 17th place in the Championship having won just four of their opening 15 matches. They will be looking to continue their record against the Blades, with two wins from their last three encounters. The visiting Blades have been in excellent form all season and are only pushed back into second place thanks to goal difference. They overcame a wobble in the middle of October when they lost two games on the spin but have won all four outings since then, conceding only one goal. Since 2010, Coventry City have edged out the Blades seven wins to five in 17 games. There most recent meeting was back in December 2022 in the Championship. Manchester City’s James McAtee opened the scoring for Sheffield United before Viktor Gyokeres missed a penalty for the Sky Blues. Ciaran Clark doubled the Blades’ lead before Thomas Doyle added a third. Gyokeres would eventually get his goal but it was nothing more than a consolation. Coventry’s last victory came in the reverse fixture of the 2022-23 season. A late Martyn Waghorn penalty sealed all three points for Mark Robin’s side.
