Odds are provided by these football betting sites.

1st Prediction For Coventry City vs Derby County: Coventry City to win 39/50

Mark Robins’ side have won their last two games and finally look capable of mounting another promotion push. Tactical changes over recent have seen the Sky Blues revert to a back three and it is with this system that they were able to beat Luton Town and Middlesbrough; the likes of Milan Van Ewijk and Josh Eccles being particularly impressive in those games. The manner of the win against Luton will also have served as a big morale boost for Coventry. Winless in three games before that, Robins’ men found themselves two-nil down at half-time. But, they mounted an excellent second half comeback which culminated in an injury time winner from Haji Wright and saw the game end 3-2 to Coventry. This newfound confidence and tactical prowess combined with Derby’s horrible away form, Paul Warne’s side have not won on the road in 10 games, should lead to Coventry taking all three points on Wednesday evening.

2nd Prediction For Coventry City vs Derby County: Over 2.5 goals 83/100

Both sides have been in relatively good form in front of goal and neither side have been particularly tight at the back recently, meaning that fans should expect goals at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Coventry have scored eight times in their last five games, and six times in their last two games, whilst only keeping one clean sheet during the same period. Their opponents on Wednesday night have scored six times in their last five matches and have also only kept one clean sheet during that time. Additionally, there is plenty of creative influence in both teams. Haji Wright has created six big chances this season, putting him third in the league, and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has created five big chances in the Championship. With two of the most creative players in the league on the pitch, there are bound to be goals.

3rd Prediction For Coventry City vs Derby County: Haji Wright to score at any time 8/5

He has just been mentioned for his creativity, but Coventry attacker Haji Wright is also the biggest goal threat in the match. The American was signed from Turkish club Antalyaspor in the summer of 2023 and he scored 16 goals in 44 Championship appearances in an impressive debut season. He has started this campaign in even better form, hitting the back of the net six times in 13 league games having only started nine of them. The physical attacker has been at his very best over the last three games, picking up three goals and one assist to make him one of the most in-form players in the division. Derby goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström will have to put in a perfect performance in order to keep the United States international from finding the back of the net.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Coventry and Derby sit in 13th and 14th place in the league respectively, but the away side will be happier with their mid-table position than the home team will be. Mark Robins has set a high standard over the last two seasons and will be aiming to at least break into the top 10 by the end of the season, if not reach the playoffs and claim the promotion that they were so close to two seasons ago. As previously mentioned Paul Warne will be relatively happy with how Derby’s first season back in the Championship has gone. However, the Rams are winless in their last four games and their rotten away record needs to be rectified if they want to continue to steer clear of relegation.
