Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea City and Oxford United are all interested in signing Brentford youngster Myles Peart-Harris on loan, according to the Football Insider.
Ex-Forest Green Rovers and Portsmouth loanee Peart-Harris has been the subject of interest from the Championship trio, who are all believed to have made enquiries to Brentford about the midfielder’s availability. Although the young prospect’s contract with the Bees expires next summer, the club has an option to extend his deal for a further year, should they decide to activate it.
The 21-year-old joined the Bees from Chelsea in the summer of 2021, in a deal worth £1.4 million. Since then, the midfielder has enjoyed loan spells away from Thomas Frank’s side, at both Forest Green and Portsmouth. Whilst at Rovers, the midfielder made 47 appearances, scoring six goals in the process as the side suffered relegation from the third tier. Peart-Harris then joined League One title winners Pompey in January, playing 12 games in League One, this time scoring twice.
All three Championship sides are looking to add to their squads ahead of the 2024/25 season, with newly promoted Oxford looking to avoid relegation back down to League One. Wednesday will be looking to add attacking options to avoid the relegation battle they were in last season, whilst Swansea will be keen to improve their mid-table finish under manager Luke Williams.
Both the U’s and the Owls have been busy in the market so far, with five and six players coming through the door at each club respectively. For Swansea, however, they are yet to make a move in the market, despite being linked with multiple players, one of which is Oxford’s Mark Harris.

A Championship loan move for Peart-Harris could help boost his chances of proving himself to Premier League side Brentford. With only one year on his contract remaining, it is now or never for the young midfielder, and having proved himself in League One, a Championship loan move could benefit both parties.
Whilst the U’s look to bolster their attacking options amid the departure of Josh Murphy, Swansea may also be eyeing up the loan market with ex-loanee and top scorer Jamal Lowe returning to his parent club Bournemouth and subsequently signing for Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Owls will still be looking to add to their squad, as they seek to push on under Danny Rohl in his first full season in charge at Hillsborough.
