Luton Town midfielder Allan Campbell is the subject of interest for several Championship clubs, with Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and Rotherham United set to compete for the midfielder’s signature, according to sources at Football Insider.
The 25-year-old has been found out of favour in his loan spell at Millwall in the first half of the 2023/24 season and is subject to a great deal of interest in the Championship as he searches for regular first-team minutes after starting only nine games this season with The Lions.
Playing a crucial role under Rob Edwards, Campbell covered multiple roles across the midfield, proving capable of performing attacking, box-to-box and defensive roles. Furthermore, he started 38 games at Kenilworth Road while contributing with three goals and two assists from midfield as The Hatters finished third in the league, going on to win promotion through the playoffs.
Campbell is still obligated to Millwall meaning that a move would require Luton to recall Campbell from his loan spell at The Den in order to sanction a second move of the season for the midfielder.
The clubs interested currently occupy the 20th, 22nd and 24th positions in the Championship table so the Scotsman’s decision could hold a large bearing on the relegation battle in the second tier. Additionally, a return to Scotland could also be on the cards, with Aberdeen said to be interested in the international.
Campbell made his last appearance for The Lions in mid-December as a late substitute against Huddersfield Town, which could suggest the midfielder to be out-of-favour at The Den.

Despite not working out at Millwall, Campbell was a key asset to Luton Town’s shock promotion last term for a reason.
With versatility throughout the midfield, vast experience and promotion credentials at the level, Campbell could offer a lot to any side struggling at the foot-end of the Championship in the second half of the season. This signing could bear a lot of responsibility for the final bottom three in the second tier.
