Swindon Town attacker George Cowmeadow has moved to Non-League side Swindon Supermarine on loan until the end of the season, in a statement released from the League Two club’s website.
The youngster, who has been at the County Ground since the age of 11, has featured irregularly this season for Jody Morris’ Robins – making only two first-team appearances.
This isn’t his first loan move away either this campaign, Cowmeadow has been loaned out three times already with moves to Slough Town, Kidlington and Poole Town testing Cowmeadow’s ability.

Despite scoring zero professional goals at the time of writing, the 19-year-old is highly regarded at the County Ground for the impression he made with the U18’s as a youth player. This resulted in the left-sided forward being rewarded with a professional contract back in April 2022.
Before that, however, Cowmeadow had already tasted first-team football in a Swindon Town shirt in the EFL Trophy versus Plymouth Argyle. Still, the young attacker will be disappointed he hasn’t been able to push on this season and make more impressions in the first team fold.
His cause hasn’t been helped by Swindon going big in the transfer window up top, ex Robins hero Charlie Austin returning to the County Ground after Premier League spells with QPR and Southampton. Likewise, Swindon also have Plymouth Argyle loanee Luke Jephcott to rely on in attack.
In a statement on the Swindon Town website, the club wished George Cowmeadow well for his Southern League Premier Division South move.
The statement read: “We’d like to wish George all the very best over the coming weeks, and the club will be monitoring his progress closely.”

A lot of youngsters, even after impressing in the academy system, struggle to transition to what is demanded of them when they make it to the men’s game.
George Cowmeadow is obviously highly rated at Swindon Town, hence his professional status now with The Robins, but he’ll be eager to impress with Swindon Supermarine to show off his talents away from just academy pitches.
This loan move will allow Cowmeadow to grow and mature, a pivotal learning curve for any youngster.
