Derby County To Sign Premier League Midfielder

Derby County have agreed a deal to sign Tottenham midfielder Harvey White on loan for the rest of the season, according to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider.

There was a number of sides interested in taking the 21-year-old on loan, including two other League One clubs, as well as two Championship clubs.

White is headed to Derby to complete a medical and the formalities of his move.

The League One club fought off competition from West Bromwich Albion and Luton Town, after many clubs were put on alert when Tottenham gave White the green light to head out on loan this month.

Given his experience in League One with Portsmouth in the 20/21 season, it is a surprise to see White head back down to the third tier, but it may just be a case of the clubs not offering him a suitable role.

Having Premier League experience, starting his first game for the club earlier this month against Crystal Palace, as well as his time with the armband in the PL2, he can offer a lot to any club he joins, as well as his versatility in the middle of the park. Derby certainly have an exciting prospect on their hands as they continue their push for promotion in the second half of this season.

Derby fans, how excited are you to see White join up with the club?
