Lincoln Suffer Transfer Blow As League Two Side Agree A Deal

Lincoln look set to hit a transfer blow as talented youngster John-Kymani Gordon looks set to join League Two side Carlisle United. According to Pete O’Rourke

John-Kymani Gordon is currently under contract at Premier League club Crystal Palace where he is played as a center-forward. Gordon has featured in ten Premier League two games contributing to seven goals in that time. The forward has been linked with League One clubs but looks set to join Carlisle.

Carlisle is in the market to strengthen their squad as they look to strengthen their strong start to the season that they have had. They have already added Alfie McCalmont into their ranks and look set to add another talented youngster as well. The Blues currently sits fourth in League Two, in what seems to be a very wide-open promotion race. Manager Paul Simpson seems keen to add more youth to the side by agreeing a deal with Crystal Palace for Gordon.

It all started in the Palace academy for John, but since moving from the under 18’s he has massively upped his game this year from previous years since moving up. He has contributed to 13 goal contributions in 49 games. He was recently called up to the bench in the Eagles two one defeat to Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup.

I think that this would be a tremendous addition to Carlisle’s ranks he would add some dynamism to the attack but also very high quality. He is highly rated in the Palace setup and had interest from some League One clubs so this is a very good pickup for The Blues.

Carlisle fans, Would you take Gordon at your club?
