FA Cup Fourth Round Drew as Derby County Face Premier League Opposition.

The FA Cup fourth round has been drawn as League One Derby County face a home encounter with struggling Premier League side West Ham United.

Derby eliminated fellow League One promotion contenders Barnsley today with a 3-0 victory, a result which will certainly give them confidence in their chances in the league.

Meanwhile, West Ham played fellow Premier League side Brentford and took a narrow 1-0 lead through former Brentford player Said Benrahma’s goal.

Elsewhere, another third-division team, Ipswich Town have also been drawn at home as they take on Championship frontrunners Burnley.

Ipswich has already eliminated Championship opposition as they saw off struggling Rotherham United in the third round.

League Two Grimsby were rewarded for their victory over League One Burton Albion with a trip to either Luton or Wigan, with the two due to play a replay following their 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Should League Two Stevenage pull off an upset over Aston Villa, they will face a trip to Championship side Stoke City.

Forest Green Rovers tie with Birmingham was called off due to a waterlogged pitch, however, should they get past Championship opposition, they face the same prospect with a tie at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers.

League Two Walsall also face Premier League opposition as they will welcome 2021’s winners Leicester City.

There is an all League One tie, as Sheffield Wednesday will play host to Fleetwood Town, Wednesday pulled off the upset in the third round eliminating Newcastle United.

The most exciting prospect would be for League One outfit Oxford United who play host to Arsenal tomorrow evening, should they get past the current Premier League leaders they face another Premier League trip to either Stamford Bridge or the Etihad to take on the winner of Manchester City vs Chelsea.

Accrington Stanley played out a draw with non-league Boreham Wood and faces a replay before the possibility of playing Premier League Leeds United who drew 2-2 with Cardiff and also play a replay.

The ties are due to be played on the weekend of January 27th-January 30th.
