There’s only one man for Ipswich Town, and it’s not Paul Cook

With or Without a Budget

When they took Lincoln out of League Two, they had one of the bigger budgets in the division, which reflects where Ipswich should be now. With the takeover seemingly imminent, they could have some money to spend and they almost always spend it wisely. Their eye for a player, certainly at lincoln, was renowned and they had the likes of Macauley Bonne and Rob Dickie on loan long before they made it in the Championship. Even without a budget, operating under Marcus Evans restrictions, they can be effective. They took both Concord Rangers and Braintree to unprecedented heights by working with next to nothing, but ensuring what little they did have goes a long way.
