The Carabao Cup first-round draw has taken place as the long-waited start of the new season draws ever closer.
The opening round will be the first competitive football of the year, and features 70 of the 72 EFL teams. Only Watford and Bournemouth are exempt from the first round, which takes place on or around September 5th. There was no seeding in the draw, although the first-round is split into north and south sections, which helps smaller clubs with travel and throws up some local derbies too.
The pick of the Northern section for L1 and L2 clubs sees recently relegated Hull City take on Sunderland, Derby host EFL newcomers Barrow, and a tasty clash between League Two titles hopefuls Bolton and Bradford. In the southern section, Newport County will host Swansea in an exciting all-Welsh clash, whilst Gillingham and Southend promises to be a lively affair too.
You can find the draw in full below but, before you do, why not have a go at our League Cup quiz to see how much you recall about tournaments of the past.
