Cambridge United defender Dan Jones has joined National League promotion contenders Solihull Moors on loan for the rest of the season.
The thirty-three-year-old left-back makes the switch having fallen out of favour in the last two months of the campaign.
Jones made nineteen appearances for United following his arrival in the summer from Notts County but hasn’t featured since the 4-0 home defeat to Salford City at the end of January.
The former Wolves trainee is much travelled, clocking up three hundred and thirty-four outings in a career that has seen him turn out for Northampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham Athletic, Bristol Rovers, Chesterfield and Port Vale. He won a League Two promotion with Vale and a League One promotion with Wednesday.
However, judging by the reaction to his departure on social media, it appears he hasn’t set the world alight during his time at the Abbey Stadium with many fans clearly delighted he’s left the club.
In fairness to Jones, some fans felt he was a bad fit for the club from the start and criticised the club’s recruitment policy.
Here is a selection of responses by Cambridge fans to the news on Twitter.

To be fair I think he's done OK for us and has a good cross on him. But with Dunk, Coker and Jordan N-W all capable left sided players this is the right decision. He should be a good signing for Solihull. Good luck to him.
