Lincoln City and MK Dons shared a point in their clash at the LNER Stadium last night.
The visitors took the lead in the third minute with a wonderful Rhys Healey free-kick which beat keeper Josh Vickers away to his right-hand side.
The home side took some time to get going, but they got their equaliser on 25 minutes when Nottingham Forest midfielder Liam Bridcutt lashed home a drive from 20-yards. That spurned the Imps on and they should have had two more before half time, Tyreece John-Jules hitting the bar with the goal gaping and Jake Hesketh firing horribly over in a one-on-one situation.
MK came out the better side in the second period and could have taken all three points, but for some frantic defending by Lincoln. The game was punctuated by some woeful refereeing, picked up by MK’s own Twitter feed; they even reported a Lincoln booking for ‘nothing at all’, such was the display from John Busby.
Whilst a point was a fair result, Lincoln fans were left more unhappy of the two sides. They’ve now seen their team fail to win in five matches, this their first point from a possible fifteen.
That’s led to some discontent on social media, as you’ll see below.

They were there for the taking. Missed some right sitters. But can’t imagine the weathers helped massively. But need abit more composure. Could’ve been 3/4-1

Finishing practice all week even make the keepers do it.

Another poor performance against a very ordinary side. It’s a good job only 3 go down, I just can’t see where our next win is coming from. Why did we buy Hopper, he’s done nothing at all for us yet. The youngsters on loan are not ready for this league, very disappointing!

Boring game but very promising signs. John Jules ran his socks off but missing chance ,Scully looked promising when coming on again and Edun and Bridcutt were class tonight.
