Highly-rated Nottingham Forest midfielder Tyrese Fornah looks set to join League Two outfit Macclesfield Town on loan until the end of the season as reported by Football Insider.
The report claims the twenty-year-old is in advanced talks to join the Silkmen.
Reporter Pete O’Rourke also claims several League One and Two clubs have shown interest in Fornah, but Macclesfield are poised to beat off the competition and land the youngster.
The versatile midfielder made his senior debut as a substitute for Forest in the 2-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the third round of the FA Cup earlier this month.
He is a regular in the Championship outfit’s Under-23s, and he was rewarded for his excellent progress with a new two and a half year deal at the City Ground in December.
Struggling Macclesfield are currently third from bottom of League Two, two points above the drop zone. Still, the coaching staff at Forest believe regular first-team football will aid Fornah’s development, and the Silkmen have offered the best chance of consistent game time for the promising youngster.
It could be a good move for Fornah, who has a good chance of getting regular minutes at Mose Rose.
He’s highly-rated at Forest and could add some quality to new manager Mark Kennedy’s squad.
Fornah is a combative and athletic central midfielder who could easily cope with the rigours of League Two football.
