The excitement is bubbling nicely with over 5,000 supporters expected to make the trip. Indeed, the club has organised twenty coaches to take fans gripped by cup fever to Old Trafford in what should be a trip of a lifetime for many U’s fans.
In team news just received, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has named a strong matchday squad including England internationals Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire as well as McTominay, Lingard and Martial.
With United having an inconsistent season, the Premier League giants can’t afford any slip-ups against the League Two side, and the squad selection suggests that he will be fielding a strong starting eleven for tonight’s game.
Colchester eliminated Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace en route to the last eight and they will no doubt take hope from the performance of League One Rochdale who took United to penalties before losing the shoot-out in the third round.
