Carlisle United slumped to yet another defeat last night, leaving them with just one win in seven in the league.
Manager Steven Pressley is under pressure at Brunton Park, with fans expressing their anger last night as they were beaten 2-0 by Northampton Town. They’re not playing well, they’re struggling in front of goal and not just five points sits between them and rock bottom of the Football League.
Bury’s explusion means just one relegation place this season, something that might be of comfort to Cumbrians, but until they start picking up results the dissent is likely to continue. The atmosphere was tough at last night’s game; home fans were unsettled long before Scott Pollock’s second-half opener.
When Sam Hoskins wrapped things up in the dying minutes, it turned from tense to angry. With just six shots all night, only two on target, Carlisle demonstrated the size of the rut they’re in.
Supporters are in no doubt what they feel needs to happen; not only at the ground but also on social media they’ve been expressing their opinion and it doesn’t make good reading for their manager.

Really nice guy but needs relieved of his duties as do the clowns in charge … can Phillip Day call in his debt please

What a load of rubbish, Northampton were there for the taking in the first half, difference is Curle had a plan B, Pressley didn't even seem to have a plan A, time to put him out of his misery

Knew at half time that Northampton would go on to win… the players have no confidence and Pressley really does seem to be struggling… time to say it's not working and make changes now #pressley/boardout

Change of manager needed! Get Danny Grainger in. The lad loves the Club, and would install a hard working culture, and some much needed passion into the Club.

Unfortunately the problem isn't just the manager, it's the whole club.
A manager who's clueless
Players who are 2nd rate.
The fans deserve more.
It's not going to change, it's been like this for years now.
Sack the board, sack the manager
