‘No ambition. No money. A manager who’s clueless,’ – These Carlisle fans let rip after Northampton disappointment

Carlisle United slumped to yet another defeat last night, leaving them with just one win in seven in the league.

Manager Steven Pressley is under pressure at Brunton Park, with fans expressing their anger last night as they were beaten 2-0 by Northampton Town. They’re not playing well, they’re struggling in front of goal and not just five points sits between them and rock bottom of the Football League.

Bury’s explusion means just one relegation place this season, something that might be of comfort to Cumbrians, but until they start picking up results the dissent is likely to continue. The atmosphere was tough at last night’s game; home fans were unsettled long before Scott Pollock’s second-half opener.

When Sam Hoskins wrapped things up in the dying minutes, it turned from tense to angry. With just six shots all night, only two on target, Carlisle demonstrated the size of the rut they’re in.

Supporters are in no doubt what they feel needs to happen; not only at the ground but also on social media they’ve been expressing their opinion and it doesn’t make good reading for their manager.
