MK Dons v Coventry

It’s a tough time right now for Paul Tisdale. His side have lost six of their last seven, with the sole victory coming against Fulham’s Under 21 side in the EFL Cup. They’re the only side to be beaten by Southend United and they’ve only scored in two of their last eight home matches, one of those being the visit of Fulham kids.
They’re not entirely woeful; whilst they’ve only averaged 0.67 goals per game at home, their xG has been twice that and it does include a game against Liverpool, but with injuries piling up and a 3-0 reverse in their last fixture at Stadium MK, they’re not in a good place.
On the other hand, Coventry City haven’t won away yet this season, which is remarkable as they’re just outside the top six on goal difference. Their problem is scoring goals, not creating them. Their last fixture against Tranmere Rovers saw them have 19 shots, just one on target. They lost the game 1-0. They’ve failed to score in five of their last seven matches away from home, but when they do get goals they get plenty; they’ve drawn 3-3 with Oxford United and Portsmouth.
They shipped four on their last trip away from St Andrew’s, losing heavily to Rotherham, but there’s enough here to suggest they can grab their first away win of the season against an MK Dons side who just can’t catch a break.
