Three crucial League Two fixtures this weekend

Mansfield Town V Oldham Athletic

Two struggling sides meet in what is a must-win game for Mansfield boss John Dempster. The atmosphere at Field Mill is not great at the moment after a poor start for many peoples tips for another promotion challenge. The Stags eased the pressure on their underfire boss with a 1-0 victory at Grimsby last time out, but they have lost their previous two games at home 1-0 to a misfiring Plymouth side and a 4-0 capitulation to an average Cambridge outfit.

Stags fans will expect nothing short of a comfortable victory over an Oldham side that looks set for a relegation struggle this season. Laurent Banide was sacked after a dreadful start and despite a decent draw at home to high-flying Cheltenham last time out, new boss Dino Maamria criticised the lack of quality in the squad following their mid-week 3-0 home defeat to Accrington Stanley in the EFL Trophy.

With Mansfield having just one home league win all season and Oldham having only one away win it could be a dour contest, but we feel the expectation of a win to get their season back on track will hinder the Stags and feel Maamria has made just enough improvement to grab a vital point and put Dempster under more pressure from supporters who were expecting so much more this season.
