Salford City might have a lion on their badge, but this weekend they were mauled by a team dressed like zebras.
Forest Green kit might be utterly repugnant, but they totally outclassed a poor Salford side, winning 4-0. Matt Stevens bagged a double as Aaron Collins and Ebou Adams both got on the scoresheet to condemn Salford to yet another heavy defeat.
They’ve now shipped eight goals in two matches and aside from a 1-0 victory against Grimsby Town, they’ve not won in the league since the opening day.
Graham Alexander had Scunthorpe around the play-offs in League One, but Salford fans are already angry at his failure to see their expensively-assembled squad impress themselves on the division.
They were high up on everyone’s predictions before the season started, but now languish 18th in the table as they seek consolidation rather than promotion. With a trip to struggling Walsall next up, then a visit from Cambridge, Alexander could find himself in dire straits if the wins don’t start coming soon.
That’s not enough for these supporters who have already seen enough from the manager.
@CraigApted Defence and just total switching off for those goals, serious reorganisation required there.

Alexander punching above his weight. Doesn’t know his best team, devoid of ideas and resorting to long ball football again.

I could bear it if we were playing decent football…we’re not, its a horrible watch.

@SalfordCityFC looked much better thanks to @dannylloyd1 who tried his hardest to change the game. Should be a definite starter next game no question
