Sunderland’s social media team have been hard at it this week, putting out videos of players training in readiness for this weekend’s clash with MK Dons.
With just one win in four league matches, they’re surely keen to highlight some of their player’s skills and hopefully drum up some extra business at the Stadium of Light.
However, as always it seems to have attracted the wrong sort, or they just picked the wrong player. Last season, Tom Flanagan broke into the first team after spending the first few matches on the bench and retained his place throughout the season.
Despite that, he’s one of a number of players that haven’t impressed fans this season. The Black Cats have struggled for clean sheets and Flanagan has dipped in and out of the team.
The social media guys clearly wanted to highlight his better points, but it’s turned into a chance to call out the former Burton man. Here are the responses from the Sunderland fans who have taken the time to comment.
