The red card Mansfield Town defender Ryan Sweeney received on Saturday has been rescinded.
The defender will now be available for the Stags next three games after an Independent Regulatory Commission upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal.
Sweeney was dismissed for violent conduct during the Yellows 1-0 defeat by Exeter at the weekend after an incident in which Grecians forward Ryan Bowman appeared to go down rather quickly following an off the ball clash.
Most Stags fans were unsurprisingly pleased with the outcome when they took to social media to comment on the statement made by the club on its official website confirming the news.
However, some fans were not happy the Exeter striker appeared to be getting away with what by comment consent was blatant play-acting.
Indeed, most fans shared the opinion of The Real EFL as reported yesterday that Bowman should not get off scot-free for his embarrassing antics.
Here is a selection of their responses to the news on Twitter.
Hopefully ban the other player involved instead for acting dead.

Justice. Any news on the guy who got him in trouble?

What happens to the player that dived and conned the referee to issue the red card. With 11 players you could have won the game. Well done to get it rescinded.
