Northampton Town have signed former Wycombe Wanderers defender Michael Harriman.
The twenty-six-year-old was a free-agent following his release by the Chairboys earlier in the summer.
The experienced campaigner has racked-up nearly two hundred and fifty appearances for clubs including Gillingham and Luton after emerging through the ranks at QPR.
The versatile defender, who can operate at either left or right-back, helped the Chairboys to automatic League Two promotion in 2018 and made twenty-eight League One appearances last season.
Northampton have had a sticky start to the season with only two wins from their opening five fixtures, putting manager Keith Curle under some early season pressure.
The need for a decent full-back was clear to many supporters, and after Curle moved to fill the gap in his squad, fans of many of Harriman’s previous clubs soon took to Twitter to comment on the signing with many feeling the Cobblers had landed an outstanding player, especially at League Two level.
Here is a selection of their very positive reaction to the signing on Twitter.
Quality for @LutonTown in his time with us in League 2.

@markybcobbler You've got yourself a top player and guy there. You'll struggle to find a Wycombe fan who thinks we should have let him go. Sadly we did it at the start of the summer when we had to seriously downsize the wage bill. I hope he gets the chance to show his worth.
