Portsmouth have released ticket details for their eagerly anticipated Carabao Cup clash with Premier League Southampton.
The fierce South-Coast rivals are due to meet for the first time in seven years later this month, and the club has responded to the high demand for tickets by increasing the price from their first-round match with Birmingham City from £10 to £24.
Season ticket holders have been given a week to secure their seats with tickets then going on sale to fans in stages depending on their purchasing history. Fans will only be able to purchase one ticket per person, and previous purchase history covers the 2017-18 season onwards.
Clubs are often on a hiding to nothing when working out the fairest way to distribute tickets for big games and Portsmouth are no exception. On the whole, the news was received positively on social media by many supporters with only the occasional grumble appearing amongst fans.
