Southend United slumped to another heavy defeat last night as MK Dons beat them 4-1 at Roots Hall and dumped them out of the Carabao Cup.
The cup exit came on the back of a terrible run of league form and added to the woes of the struggling Essex outfit and their supporters.
The Blues are yet to record any League One points this season, and the latest heavy defeat heaped the pressure on under-fire boss Kevin Bond. The Shrimpers have now conceded fourteen goals in their last four matches, three of which have seen them breached four times.
Bond told the Southend Echo he was confident he was still the man to improve results. ‘With the players we’ve got here we will 100 per cent turn things around,’ he said.
However, when fans took to social media to react to the result, it appears patience is running thin with Harry Redknapp’s former assistant. Many fans want Bond out of the club and called for his immediate sacking.
