Tottenham Hotspur striker Kazaiah Sterling has joined League One side Doncaster Rovers on a season-long loan deal, as reported by Spurs official site.
The 20-year-old has been a full time professional at Spurs for a couple of seasons now, never doing enough to break into the first team set up properly. He’s played once in Europe and twice in the EFL trophy for the Under 21 side.
Last season, he went out on loan to Sunderland for first team experience, but played just eight times, scoring once.
That left him as far away from the first team picture as ever, so a move to Doncaster will be an attempt to rebuild his reputation.Β The eEnfieldborn forward will be a like-for-like replacement for John marquis, who joined Portsmouth ahead of the season’s start.
Doncaster have drawn their opening two matches under Darren Moore, needing a 90th-minute strike from Kieran Sadlier to secure a point against Rochdale.
Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to the move, with some wondering why he hasn’t had more of a chance with the Premier League outfit.
Honestly why does this kid never get a chance?

Got a game tomorrow I reckon he will be brought from off the bench. The thing that rovers fans are upset about is the fact it is another loan
