Coventry City midfielder Tom Bayliss is set to join Championship side Preston North End after the Sky Blues accepted a bid for the twenty-year-old as reported by Football Insider.
Reporter Pete O’Rourke claims Preston are hoping to complete the deal today with Bayliss undergoing a medical in the North West after Coventry accepted an offer of £2 million.
A source at Preston told Football Insider the new developments came after a breakthrough in negotiations yesterday.
The In-demand midfielder has made seventy-three appearances for Coventry since making his debut in 2017.
Speculation over his future has been ongoing news for Sky Blues fans over the summer. Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion have been linked with the Coventry academy graduate in recent months, while Premier League giants Liverpool and Everton have also reportedly taken a look at the prospect.
However, it now looks likely Bayliss will be playing his football at Deepdale next season with the completion of the deal expected today.

When Bayliss failed to start in Coventry’s pre-season preparations a move was obviously imminent.
Bearing in mind the level of club’s that have reportedly been interested in him, Preston could be considered a surprise destination.
Nonetheless, Some Sky Blues fans will not lose to much sleep over a player that often gets criticised for his poor work rate and application and will welcome the money into the club.
Others will be disappointed an exciting young talent is set to leave on the day top summer target, Tyler Walker is likely to be announced a Lincoln City player.
