MK Dons in talks to sign Cardiff City striker

Mk Dons are in talks with Cardiff City over the possible permanent signing of Rhys Healey as reported by Football Insider.

The Twenty-four-year-old striker enjoyed a successful loan spell at MK in the first half of last season, scoring nine goals in twenty-one appearances.

He returned to Cardiff in January but made only three substitute appearances in the Premier League as the Bluebirds suffered relegation back to the Championship.

According to reporter Pete O’Rourke, a source at Cardiff has told him that boss Neil Warnock has given the go-ahead for Healey to move to MK Dons on a full-time deal.

Healy is entering the final year of his contract at Cardiff, and the report claims the two clubs are negotiating a fee structure which will allow him to make Stadium MK his new permanent home.

After the recent departure of Chuks Aneke to Charlton, this news will delight MK Dons supporters.

Healy made a big impression during his loan spell, and most fans would welcome him back with open arms.

O’Rourke is usually a reliable source, so there is a good chance this may happen.
