Blackpool’s move for Rangers striker Ryan Hardie could be back on according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Seasiders were thought to be close to signing the forward before the recent departure of former boss Terry McPhillips from Bloomfield Road.

The deal was thought to be dead in the water after McPhillips left, but new manager Simon Grayson didn’t rule out a move for the forward when speaking to the BBC Radio Lancashire recently, and it now seems there is a chance the move may still happen according to Nixon.
The twenty-two-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Livingston, and his pre-Christmas form for the Lions persuaded Rangers to offer him an extension on his contract to the summer of 2020 in January.
However, his display’s dropped off at the Almondvale Stadium in the second half of the season, and it appears this affected his standing with Rangers boss Steven Gerrard who omitted the striker from the squad which recently travelled to the Algarve for pre-season training.
It is unclear whether or not Blackpool are looking for a loan or a permanent transfer.
Our View
Hardie could be the target man Blackpool need.
They lacked goal threat last season, scoring only 50 goals in their 46 league matches and despite being able to call on Nathan Delfouneso and new boy Adi Yussuf they still look short in attack.
If Nixon is accurate, and he is usually reliable, Hardie could be the missing piece in the jigsaw.
He will join with a point to prove, and if he recaptures his form at Livingston, he could be an excellent signing for the Seasiders.
