Blackpool are eying a move for former defender Alex Baptiste according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The much-travelled thirty-three-year-old spent five years at Bloomfield Road between 2008 and 2013 and is available on a free transfer following his release by Queens Park Rangers.
The versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back line helped the Tangerines to the Premier League in 2010 was taken to the West London club by former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway, but his career has faltered at Rangers, making only thirty league outings in two years at Loftus Road.
He spent the second half of 2018/19 on loan at Luton Town but only made two substitute appearances for the Hatters.
Baptiste has previously played for Mansfield Town, Preston, Blackburn, Sheffield United and Bolton but enjoyed his most successful spell at Bloomfield Road making one hundred and ninety appearances for the Seasiders.

In the tweet, Nixon also claims the Tangerines are trying hard to get a deal for Carlisle striker Hallam Hope over the line. The striker scored fifteen goals for the Cumbrians last season and has a year left on his contract at Brunton Park.
Carlisle have made it clear they will only let Hope leave if they receive a bid that matches their valuation with Swindon Town thought to be another front runner in the chase for his services.
Our View
Every club in League One and Two needs experience and versatility and Baptiste would bring that in abundance to Simon Grayson’s squad.
His best days might be behind him, but he could still do a job in League One.
Most Blackpool fans would welcome him back with open arms, but wages may be the stumbling block.
Hope is an interesting one, decent League Two striker but not popular with some Carlisle fans.
Could be a good signing for Blackpool and Carlisle’s loss.
